About the Material

Plastic material called Accura ClearVue is excellent for early-stage rough prototypes and mechanical strength. For initial prototype applications, Accura ClearVue is a reasonably priced material that, with post-processing choices, can provide a better surface polish than PLA.

Material Finish

Low-resolution (0.1 mm) layering gives Accura ClearVue a matte look with distinct extrusion lines. Black, White, and Neutral are the three hues of Accura ClearVue, each of which has a slightly different finish.

Accura ClearVue resembles the finish of black PLA and is a little bit more polished than its Neutral and White cousins.

The least shining of the three is White ABS, whereas Neutral Accura ClearVue has a more milky appearance.

  • Internal Cavities: All internal cavities will have support material inside.
  • Threads and Inserts: For Accura ClearVue, we recommend you use heat stake inserts. For more information, check out our article on The Best Fasteners for 3D Printed Parts.
  • Text Guidelines: Engraved text (indented) is recommended over embossed, since ABS is not able to capture fine details very well.
